Great late seventies, early eighties Oleg Cassini dress made of a scarf weight black silk chiffon that is backed in an equally light weight black tissue silk. Both layers are completely bias but so it is very easy to wear and feels amazing on. His pieces always seem to have that rich girl feel to them and this one has that added bit of glitz with the extensive head to toe bead and sequin work. The sexiness is in the fabric - it is so lightweight that even though it is cut loose, when you move it will move with you and skim across your shape giving glimpses of the body underneath. That combined with the glossy black of the beads and sequins is amazing! Panels are set along the skirt that are even more dramatically sequined - very reminiscent of the flapper era and these really move when you do. The back is almost entirely open! A great piece that will be amazing to style - endless possibilities! Excellent condition
